Precision Gear Incorporated (PGI) was established in 1936. PGI celebrated
the new millennium in January 2000 by consolidating our two manufacturing
plants into a single modern brick building of 60,000 square feet. The new
facility is only 4 miles from our prior location, therefore we retained
all of the same personnel, equipment, and manufacturing processes. We are
conveniently located near LaGuardia Airport (3 miles) and JFK Airport (8 miles).
PGI has been a manufacturer of aircraft quality hardened and ground gears,
conforming to AGMA Class 11-15, for more than 30 years. We have the latest
manufacturing technology including CBN gear grinding of spur, crowned, helical,
cluster & internal gears, splined shafts, pistons, high speed shafts, etc.
PGI specializes in the manufacturing of Flight Safety Critical Parts for the
OEM's and U.S. Government. PGI employes Lean Manufacturning Techniques and
Cellular Lines to insure On-Time Delivery. Most components are for aircraft
engines, helicopter drive systems, satellites and specify the items to be heat
treated via carburizing or nitriding.
